About Resilience Medical Massage

Kay, Owner of Resilience Medical Massage

I’m so grateful that you’re here. I want to share with you, just a little about me. I love music and travel! I’m from Washington, NC (Little Washington). I have also lived in Orlando and St. Petersburg, Florida, and Fayetteville, NC.

I have been doing massage since 2011. I knew from high school what I wanted to be when I finished school. Excited to already have a head start in my field. I did my Sr project on Massage and Business operations. I carried that knowledge over to Miller-Motte College Of Greenville where I completed their 920-hour program. The state of NC requires 500 hours I often reflect and appreciate the extra time for me to gain the knowledge needed to serve my clients.

I have experience in Spa, Events, Wellness and Clinical. It was when I moved to Fayetteville, NC where I can say I solely gain insight on my true PASSION in this industry. Although there, I was in a Spa I consistently worked with people who were in pain! I was driven to want to learn and help them more! I learn a lot of pain patterns like:

  • The link between desk workers with neck, back, and shoulder pain.
  • Sciatica pain patterns and what seems to help them.
  • Lower back and S.I joint dysfunction
  • Runners (associated dysfunctions)
  • And more!

I came back to Eastern NC with a passion to want to learn and grow in my field. I decided to transition from a spa therapist to Medical Massage therapist in 2015. I completed my coursework in medical massage in 2016. I’m very grateful to be able to help people come from where they are to where they want to be! I tell myself I will learn whatever I feel needs to get the job done. I try to stay on top of the latest research to be able to give the best results as possible!

Thanks,

Kay
